Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has arrived in Ogun State as part of activities marking the commissioning of several development projects and the South-West Zonal Launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme.

The visit brings together representatives of the Federal and Ogun State Governments, traditional leaders, community stakeholders and residents as the state hosts the First Lady for the scheduled activities.
The project commissioning is expected to showcase some of the infrastructure and development initiatives undertaken by the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, with emphasis on projects designed to improve public services and enhance the living conditions of residents.
A major highlight of the visit is the South-West Zonal Launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme, an initiative aimed at providing food support to vulnerable Nigerians and strengthening social intervention efforts.
The programme is expected to complement existing efforts to support low-income and vulnerable households while contributing to improved food security and citizens’ welfare.

The First Lady’s visit also underscores the Federal Government’s collaboration with state governments in delivering social welfare programmes and other initiatives targeted at improving the wellbeing of Nigerians.
Ogun State is expected to use the occasion to further showcase its development projects and social intervention programmes as stakeholders participate in the commissioning and food bank launch.
