Popular content creator Peller has expressed frustration over what he described as attempts by some people to bring others down.
Speaking about his wedding, Peller revealed that someone reportedly alerted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate him after guests sprayed money on the floor during the ceremony.
According to Peller, the EFCC contacted him and invited him for questioning. He said he cooperated with the agency and explained what happened.
Peller claimed that EFCC officials told him that what worked in his favour was that they had seen videos showing him cautioning guests against spraying money on the ground.
He questioned why people would report others simply because they were celebrating or making money, urging people to focus on improving their own lives rather than trying to bring others down.
“Why are people wicked? You, go and make money. If you see another person dey see small-small change dey put for mouth, no spoil am for am,” he said.
Peller’s comments have since sparked reactions online, with many debating the issue of money spraying at social events and the responsibility of guests and celebrants to comply with financial regulations.
