Car Spotters Can Operate, But Must Not Disrupt Traffic — Lagos Govt

The Lagos State Government has clarified that car spotting is not prohibited in the state, but practitioners must ensure their activities do not obstruct public roads or disrupt traffic.

The government said enthusiasts can continue to photograph and record luxury and exotic vehicles, particularly at car lots and other suitable locations where such activities will not interfere with public movement.

However, authorities warned against gathering on major roads, stopping vehicles or creating situations that could cause traffic congestion and inconvenience to motorists.

The government also stressed that car spotters must respect the privacy of vehicle owners and members of the public, warning against intrusive filming or recording.

The clarification comes amid the growing popularity of car spotting in Lagos, with enthusiasts often gathering at locations where high-end vehicles are frequently seen.

The state government urged car spotters to enjoy the activity responsibly while complying with traffic and public safety regulations.
