The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that certificates for candidates who sat for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates are now available on its Digital Certificate Platform.
According to WAEC, candidates can now access, download and share their certificates digitally through the official platform.
To access the certificate, candidates are required to visit the WAEC website, select Certificate Access, provide their examination and identification details, and complete the required verification process. They can then view and download their digital certificate.
The platform also provides a Certificate Confirmation service, allowing schools, employers and other institutions to verify the authenticity of candidates’ certificates.
WAEC clarified that the Digital Certificate Platform is separate from the examination result-checking portal.
Candidates can access the service through “WAEC’s official website” (https://reference-url-citation.invalid/2) or the WAEC Digital Certificate mobile application.
