Nigerian TikToker Nsikak Abigail Emem, popularly known as Mirabel, has announced her return to social media after completing a rehabilitation programme in Ogun State, months after the controversy surrounding her false rape allegation.
Mirabel made a series of posts on TikTok on Saturday, marking her first known public updates in months. In one post, she wrote, “I survived, so I’m awaiting your hate comments,” while another video carried the caption, “Out of therapy but not healed.”
Her return follows months under the care of the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The Ogun State Ministry of Justice had earlier said investigations, alongside Mirabel’s own admissions, established that the rape allegation was false and deliberately fabricated. Authorities said she was placed in psycho-social rehabilitation rather than prosecuted.
Mirabel’s original allegation, made in February 2026, sparked widespread reactions across Nigeria and drew support from celebrities and activists before the claim was later found to be false.
